I was reading an article in Men's Health this morning, describing working being done by various ground breaking doctors to cure cancer diabetes, stroke ect. The author began describing the doctor who came across much younger than his age, going on to say that it was a result of his unbridled enthusiasm for his work. He described the doctors passion as "infectious." This got me thinking how powerful infectious personalities and passion can be. It may be the most powerful human emotion or influence. It has the ability to mobilize the human race to do great things, and much like a plague, to immobilize it. Infectious optimism can lead to an underdog sports team overcoming the odds and proving everyone wrong to win it all. Infectious individuality, creativity and love can inspire an entire generation to make a difference and make a stand ie hippies in the 70's. Whether it is one persons infectious personality and passion that inspires others, or a generation that inspired and moved to make a difference, it seems that this inspired infectious motivation always inspired others to worked selflessly and tirelessly in pursuit of a cause greater than themselves.
So go out and "Get Infected."
